About this qualification

BSB50420 is the qualification people mean when they say “I did my diploma”. The register describes individuals who “display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others”, and who “plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems”.

Six core units carry it: communicating with influence, developing critical thinking in others, leading workplace relationships, managing operational plans, emotional intelligence and team effectiveness. Six electives sit on top, four of which must come from the listed bank.
