BSB50320 is the HR qualification above officer level. The register names the roles: “Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Advisor and Human Resources Business Partner”.

Twelve units, seven core. Read them beside the Certificate IV and the pattern is the same one that runs through the whole Business Services package — at Certificate IV you administer performance development, support employee and industrial relations, coordinate recruitment. Here you facilitate performance development and manage employee and industrial relations.

It has hard entry requirements. The register limits entry to those who have completed BSBHRM411, BSBHRM412 and the other core units of BSB40420 Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, or equivalent competencies. The Certificate IV is the way in.

BSBHRM524 Coordinate workforce plan implementation is new at this level — the shift from administering people to planning for them.
