About this qualification

RII20720 covers “individuals working in an operational role in civil construction, who undertake a prescribed range of tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental knowledge, in a defined context working under supervision”.

Sixteen units: ten core and six electives, of which at least five must come from the qualification's own list and no more than one from outside.

Watch the high risk work units. The register warns that the RII package contains both licensed and non-licensed units relating to high risk work. Completing a licensed unit inside a qualification is not the same as holding the licence — that comes from your state WHS regulator.

It is where the road labourer and traffic control skill sets lead if you want a qualification rather than a stack of statements of attainment.
