About this qualification
SIT10222 covers people who “participate in a range of routine and predictable hospitality work activities”, working under close supervision with clear directions.
Six units in total — three core and three electives. Nothing else on this site is smaller. It is designed to be completed quickly, often in schools or as a first step back into work.
The three core units are the irreducible minimum of hospitality work: working effectively with others, providing customer information and assistance, and participating in safe work practices.
No licensing, certification or legislative requirements attach to it. It is a taste of the industry and a genuine credential, and the register is honest that the work is routine and closely supervised.

- What comes next?
- SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality, or SIT20421 Certificate II in Cookery if the kitchen appeals more than the floor.
