About this qualification
CPC10126 is the introduction to the construction industry — its culture, occupations, job roles and workplace expectations. It is the entry rung below Certificate II in Construction Pathways.
Both construction WHS units are core. CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (the White Card unit) and CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures are both required, so a holder finishes with the site-entry competency already done.
It is built around CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project — an integrating unit that pulls the tools, materials, planning and communication units into one piece of work.
Eleven units: 8 core and 3 electives, and one of those electives may come from a Certificate I or II elsewhere, provided AQF alignment holds.
