About this qualification
CPC30326 is the current Certificate III in Carpentry. It replaced CPC30220 on 22 September 2026 and the register records the two as equivalent — same title, same twenty-seven core units, same seven electives.
Apprentices already underway on CPC30220 are not stranded: a superseded qualification keeps a finite currency, and an RTO has twelve months from supersession to complete, transfer or withdraw them. New enrolments go to this code.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this the same qualification as CPC30220?
- Effectively yes. The register flags CPC30326 as equivalent to CPC30220, and the packaging is identical — twenty-seven core and seven electives. The code changed in the September 2026 release.
- I am part way through CPC30220. Do I start again?
- No. A superseded qualification keeps a finite currency. Your RTO has twelve months from 22 September 2026 to complete, transfer or withdraw enrolled learners, and equivalence means credit transfers across rather than being reassessed.
- Does it include the white card?
- CPCCWHS2001, Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry, is a core unit. The general construction induction card is issued by the state regulator on the strength of it, not by the qualification.
- Does it cover working at heights?
- CPCCCM2012, Work safely at heights, is core. High risk work licensing is separate and is issued by the state regulator.
