About this qualification

RIIRIS301 replaced RIIRIS301E on 1 September 2026. Unlike the other RII recodes in that release, the register records this one as not equivalent — so holding RIIRIS301E does not by itself satisfy a requirement for RIIRIS301.

The elements show why. Where the old unit had the holder implement and monitor and review risk controls, this one has them identify and recommend controls and contribute to their implementation. It is a narrower role, and the fifth element — reviewing risk management documentation — is new.
